Dr. Christenson is a board certified, fellowship trained interventional radiologist. He specializes in providing minimally invasive cancer treatments. His interventional oncology experience includes both regional therapy with radioembolization and chemoembolization of the liver, as well as local therapies including cryoablation and microwave ablation of tumors in the kidneys, liver, lung and bone.
Dr. Christenson’s interests extend into multiple other areas of interventional radiology as well including women’s interventions (uterine fibroid embolization and treatment of pelvic congestion syndrome) as well as pediatric interventions and treatment of vascular malformations. Dr. Christenson is well versed in the current literature on minimally invasive image guided therapies and is offering many treatments in the Billings area that were not previously being provided.
Originally from Colorado, Dr. Christenson moved to Billings in 2014, and he is loving living in Montana. When Dr. Christenson is not at work, he enjoys spending time with his family. He enjoys all outdoor activities, and is an avid mountain biker.
